PRETEND PLAY & SERIOUS FUN @ HOME
We were so excited to be re-open our doors for 2 weeks! Now we need every Victorian to be a Community Hero and help stop the spread of COVID-19. We cannot wait to re-open our museum again when it's safe to do. Until then, we hope you enjoy our FREE activities online so Community Heroes can still enjoy our pretend play and serious fun at home.

Getting Ready for your Teddy Bear's Picnic Activity
We had such fun with our first Pretend Play & Serious Fun @home activity which was all about creating your “beary" own fun-filled Teddy Bear's picnic. Details for this activity are below:
Click on the Youtube link below to get some inspiration for your picnic and read on to see all the fun craft ideas you can do.
Our educators have developed a FREE “Interaxcity Teddy Bear Picnic” resource pack. We hosted virtual Teddy Bear picnics all over the world on Friday 27th March, with our Community Heroes sharing their fun with us.
The resource pack is all things Teddy. There are lots of "beary" valuable literacy, geometry and fine-motor skills practice for our Community Heroes, with plenty of creativity, imagination and fun along the way too! Don’t forget to take pics as we’d love to share them a so we can all see and experience the fun virtually.
The items you need to complete this activity are:
White Paper. You can also use recycled paper, or even an old cardboard box.
A printer. Don't worry if you don't have one, we'll be sharing documents that will be easy for your adult, or another Community Hero, to copy.
Pencil and colours. Crayons, texters, pencil colours, whatever you have access to.
Scissors. Please always ask your adult, or another Community Hero for help with these.
Glue stick. Some craft glue,sellotape/stickytape, a stapler, or even blu-tac will also do the trick.
All your favourite furry friends and toys.
And of course, your imagination, creativity and positive attitude.
